Solo Director

  1. Responsibilities and Requirements
    1. MSReg setup (or coordinate with someone who will) for each event
    2. Receive and select course maps working with safety if needed to review
    3. Review registrations and correct as needed
    4. Assign worker assignments
    5. Post courses and worker assignments before the event
    6. Bring timing laptop preloaded with registrations
    7. Take laptop home from event to extract results and send to webmaster in timely fashion (within 48 hours of event weekend when possible)
    8. Appointed by RGRSCCA Board of Directors

    1. Deliver timing laptop

    3. Coordinate with registration for walk on entries and entry edits
    4. Conduct driver’s meeting

Safety

Timing

Grid

    4. Time Mechanicals (10 minutes from the time they are due to be sent)
    5. Time Reruns (5 minutes from after they return to grid space before release from grid)
    6. Must be pre-approved for this position to ensure qualifications

Novice Instructor

    1. Provide a novice walk before driver’s meeting
    2. Ride with novices during at least their first two runs

    1. Required to provide a novice walk when announced. May be dismissed by Solo Director if not needed.

Waivers

    1. Assist any visitors/guests/participants to sign the waiver
    2. Challenge any not displaying an approved wristband to confirm waiver signing.
    3. Must be an SCCA annual member (required for witnessing)
    4. Must be approved for this position prior to applying

Photo

    1. Take photos safely
    2. Photos taken during your worker assignment will be provided to participants and region at no charge
    3. Provide access to photos within two weeks of the event
    4. Request spotter if you wish to be on course. If no spotter is available take photos from designated safe areas per safety

  4. Challenge those without waiver wristbands and guide them politely to Waiver table
